It just occurred to me, that I have been a devart member for several years and have never changed my avatar ever. so i guess i will. so i did. horray for me.

I am aware that I have been away for a long time. I have been living at college where the frick'n network's firewall blocks my ability to upload anything onto this site. And so i am back for the winter, if for only a short while longer. The stuff I've posted are materials that i've worked on while at school, so it's not like school has kept me from drawing.
That aside, i can say that it has been a great break so far, and that the year 2008 was very good to me. Christmas was great, and ringing in the new year with my friends was also amazing! To all the friends that i've had the best of times in 2008: Nick, Glen, Ryan, Teresa, Pat, Alyssa, Kirstie, Mike....I love you all! You all rock awsome! Thanks so much for great memories! Let's make more in '09!

I've got a new graphic novel idea that I'm tossing around with myself. It's a shojo story called "Love Me Tender". Here's the jist:

Izumi is a normal high schooler who, despite his looks, can't seem to get a girlfriend. All his troubles seem to be over when he makes a wish at a shrine, at noon during a solar eclipse, that he would become irresistable to girls. But when almost every girl around him can't seem to stay away, Izumi learns that too much of something isn't always a good thing. To make matters more complicated, the one girl who has truely caught his eye seems to be the only girl unaffected by his wish.
Two's company, three's a crowd, and many more is just plain madness. To escape his "curse", Izumi must wish it away under the same conditions, but the phenomenon happens only once every four years. Can Izumi get through high school in one piece and still get the girl he's always dreamed of?


I hope I get to actually work on it cause it sounds like it could be great.
Maybe over the summer when I'm not as busy.

-No, I can't sweat. Simmon's stupid sweat glands don't even work right.
-What?! They were working when I gave them to you!
-Please. I'm not moist in any of the usual places. If you want em' back so much take em'.
-I can't. Sarge says the sweat makes my cyborg parts rusty. So I'm cooled by Frion now.
-Ah, delicious Frion... *cough, cough, cough*
-Griff, are you alright?! Are my lungs okay too?! Hey wait a minute! Are you smoking inside your helmet again?
-Who me? No! (smoke comes out helmet) oops.
-Damn it, I knew this would happen! And how many snack cakes have you had today?
-None! ... Okay five, or more... baker's dozen at most!
-Do you even now how many there are in a baker's dozen?
-By my count, forty-eight.
-Okay, that's it! No more smoking, no more drinking, and no more over-eating "chubby". You're not going to ruin my body parts the same way you ruined yours.
-That's okay, I can think of different ways to ruin them.

*CRASH*

-Ow! Who left the spleen bowl where someone could trip on it? I think I broke something!

For those of you who may want some idea of what my manga is about, cause I've talked about it and posted my characters in my gallery, here is the Prologue for it:

Title: MORDEN: The Crystal's Fate

Prologue:
A long time ago, when the earth was still young, there existed a secret society who possessed the power to preserve prosperity on earth and to protect the whole of nature. That power was contained in an unusual crystal that had mysteriously appeared on earth. The crystal held the manifestations of animals from all of creation. All the maifestations held their own power, and combined together to form what the society called the Morden Crystal.
Although its power was used for the good of all, its power was coveted by many. The power of the Morden Crystal in the hands of the wrong individual would be too terrible to imagine. Many individuals tried and failed to take the crystal for themselves and gain the ultimate power on earth. Conflict after conflict resulted in an all out war.
The strong warriors who composed the Morden counsel had protected the Crystal for thousands of years, but now, with their enemies gathered, were on the verge of being defeated. In a final act of desperation, the counsel smashed the Crystal into many peices. Each member of the counsel was given a shard of the Crystal to guard for eternity. Each shard held one manifestation that would lend its power to its protector. The counsel separated, going to separate sections of the globe in order to keep the shards separated. If all the shards were ever joined together, then the full power of the Morden Crystal would belong to the one who joined them.

To this day the shards are still separated, and the legacy of them forgotten. With luck, the shards will ramain separated to the end of eternity.
